Trevor Jones is building an exciting career as an operatic and symphonic conductor.


He is the joint recipient of the 2011 Brian Stacey Award for Emerging Australian Conductors.


In 2010, 2011 and 2012, Trevor conducted Opera in the Park for the City of Stonnington with soloists including Merlyn Quaife, Suzanne Johnston, Linda Thompson, Grant Smith, Michael Lapina, Dimity Shepherd, Danielle Calder, Jason Wasley, Chris Tonkin, musicians from Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) and The Opera Studio Melbourne.


In 2010, Trevor conducted Mozart’s Don Giovanni for The Opera School Melbourne and In 2011, he conducted Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld for The Opera Studio, Melbourne


Previously, he has conducted orchestral music with the Stonnington Symphony Orchestra, the Choristry Players and Orchestras assembled by the Monash University Choral Society.
